Ensuring access to education in lanabregas, Tirana Municipality

Nisma ARSIS prioritizes access to education for children in the Lanabregas community by addressing barriers to school attendance, such as transportation and familial support. The program created pathways for consistent school engagement, ensuring academic growth and social well-being.

Programmatic approach:

  • A daily transport service facilitated uninterrupted school attendance for children in collaboration with “Androkli Kostallari” School.
  • Partnerships with parents and the school staff nurtured an environment of active participation and shared responsibility for each child’s success.
  • School-based activities and continuous monitoring of dropout risks reinforced academic success and emotional development.

This approach reflects the importance of removing logistical barriers and fostering collaboration between families, schools, and communities.

Mobile School – bridging educational gaps for vulnerable communities

The Mobile School is an innovative tool delivering non-formal education directly to children in marginalized communities. It targets children in street situations, those engaged in labor, and school dropouts, with a focus on promoting literacy, numeracy, and life skills.

Programmatic focus:

  • Operating in five suburban and rural areas of Tirana Municipality, the Mobile School reached 303 children, delivering educational activities tailored to the needs of disadvantaged communities.
  • Sessions covered topics such as literacy, mathematics, health education, and creative therapy, building self-esteem and foundational skills for children.
