In the framework of Anti-Trafficking Month (October) under the slogan “From Awareness to Action: Join the Fight Against Trafficking!”

The Psychosocial Team of the Multifunctional Center “House of Colors,” in collaboration with Child Protection Workers and School Psychosocial Teams in the municipalities of Tirana and Kamëz, conducted 10 awareness sessions focused on educating students about the risk factors that put minors at risk of “human trafficking.”
The Nisma ARSIS team engaged with 212 beneficiaries to highlight the current situation of children deprived of basic rights, subjected to exploitation, and the services available to assist them. Today, a significant number of children are exploited and coerced into paid or unpaid labor on the streets by parents, third parties, or employers/exploiters. These children are particularly vulnerable to trafficking.
During the activity, the Nisma ARSIS team informed participants of the child protection services available for children at higher risk.

At this closing event, children shared their stories, ideas, and personal messages for a safer internet by presenting painted messages that cover every side of this box. These young cybersecurity ambassadors – their voices and creativity – mark the first step in raising awareness and protecting many others facing online abuse or trafficking.

The project “A Safer and More Resilient Cyberspace for Children and Youth” is supported by the national grant of the regional project “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Values in the Western Balkans,” implemented by the Center for Civil Society Promotion (CPCD), the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), and the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM Albania), with financial support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
