What does peace mean to young people? How can listening, respect and understanding help us build stronger communities?
Through the Erasmus+ project “UPSHIFT Impact: Amplifying Social Change through Youth Initiatives”, young people from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and North Macedonia came together to share their experiences and perspectives.
Across the four partner countries, 15 Peacebuilding Dialogue Sessions recorded 181 participations, creating spaces for open conversations about diversity, stereotypes, human dignity, respect, peaceful conflict resolution and cooperation.
Dialogues reminded us that we don’t have to agree on everything to listen to and respect one another. Peace begins with small everyday actions, and young people have an important role in building more inclusive and peaceful communities.
Different perspectives. Shared understanding. Stronger communities.
The activities were implemented by Genesis Project, Nisma ARSIS, LEAD and HERMES within the Erasmus+ project “UPSHIFT Impact: Amplifying Social Change through Youth Initiatives”, co-funded by the European Union.
