Become a Volunteer

In the framework of the implementation of projects and development of education programs for children and youth, empowerment of families in vulnerable situations, the organization “Nisma për Ndryshim Shoqëror ARSIS” is in the process of involving volunteers, who will be part of all programs that are in place.

About the organization

Nisma për Ndryshim Shoqëror ARSIS (NISMA for short) is a non-profit organization which was established in February 2016. As stated in the statute and other protocols, the NISMA is based on the traditions, values and continuity of the ARSIS organization, Social Organization for Youth Support (established in 2006 as a branch of ARSIS Greece). NISMA’s mission is to provide sustainable services and solutions for the most marginalized individuals and groups in Albanian society with special emphasis on Roma and Egyptian communities and beyond. NISMA advocates and lobbies at local and central level on issues of child protection, development and participation, improving the socio-economic conditions of their families and strengthening the capacity of service providers, non-profit organizations, professionals and other actors working with children in vulnerable situations.

Volunteer’s Responsibilities

to provide the service personally and directly, in accordance with the standards and professional ethics, when the provision of services requires professional skills
participate in trainings in order to improve the working qualtiy
respect the integrity, mission and objectives of the volunteer provider
to maintain the professional secrecy with which he is acquainted due to the nature of the work he performs
be willing to work with children and young people in different contexts
apply the principles and standards of volunteering (based on the Law on Volunteering 45/2016)
respect the principles of human rights

Employee Profile

University degree or in the process of graduation, combined with specialized training in the field of social sciences, social work, psychology or law (if any); students in these fields and not only
Good knowledge about the situation of children and youth rights in Albania
Good knowledge on volunteering
Good writing, presentation and analysis skills
Good skills in meeting deadlines and teamwork
Very good communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability and desire to work with children, in the field of education, psychosocial games
